Many people prefer to pay for their own therapy for different reasons. Paying for your own therapy allows for a sense of ownership in the therapeutic process. Private payment also means there will be no disclosure of any personal information to any third party which is a level of privacy not possible when billing through health insurance.

Cancellation Policy:
24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment would be appreciated. you may leave a message at any time of day to cancel. Without advance notice you will be charged the full fee as booked for missed sessions.
Privacy & Confidentiality:
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist. Information cannot be disclosed without written consent, as it is confidential. However there are some exceptions including the following:
*Reporting child, elder or dependent adult abuse/neglect
*Taking the necessary steps to attempt to maintain safety if it is determined that a client intends to harm himself or someone else
*Releasing specific information that a client has authorized by signing a Release of Information Form
*Releasing information/records ordered by a judge in the court of law
